It is normal to look milky or cloudy. When the peeling/scabbing occurs, the fresh epidermis underneath is a bit opaque for awhile so you cannot see through it well to view the tattoo.

It will take on its normal translucency in a few days.

No, thats not normal. Without seeing it its hard to give a definate, so the best advice is to go see your artist and let them take a look. White or coloudy tattoos can mean one of two things.

The first being that you've pulled the scab off early, either by accident or scratching it and your skin has scarred. Scabbing is not necessarily normal and it could be that the artist was very heavy handed and went too deep.

The second option is your aftercare. Anything that contains a Zinc Oxide in it (certian types of A&D, other lotions etc) which will oxidize your healing tattoo, making the colours faded and the black into a milked out grey blue.

And to repeat the above NEVER use peroxide on a fresh tattoo, it will ruin it by bleaching the colour out. You wouldnt put bleach on an open cut would you? So don't use it for a tattoo. And don't use neosporin like someone suggested, it will putt the colour out of your tattoo and fade it as well.

DO NOT put peroxide on your new tattoo!!! on my latest tattoo i had one spot on my foot that looked cloudy after the scab came off. i kindof worried and figured that i would have to have it touched up after it was healed BUT i gave it another week and by the time i checked back it was normal, it looked like the rest of my foot! give it time to heal. if it doesn't look right once it is finished then you can get it touched up. just keep moisturising it.

NEVER EVER put Peroxide on your tattoo...if you're really worried about it , go back to the studio and let your artist look at it . they know unequivically whether something is normal or not.

If you need to clean the tattoo use water , and in rare cases Bactine spray , but ONLY if you talk to your tatoo artist , and they genuinly think that you may have infection.

All tat's look a bit " dull" or " frosty" at first . the color will become more vibrant as it heals.

Good luck !

Yes it is normal, just keep it clean and keep lotion on it, and the color will clear up in a week or so.

If you put peroxide or any type of neosporin on it, the color will come off, so dont ever put anything like that on a tattoo, or it will be gone.

your tattoo will look a bit dull, until its fully healed, dont put anyting on it especially peroxide or anti-biotic ointments....you may just need a touch up in the future....
If its not red, swollen or overly tender, then your fine....However, if it is showing any digns of infection you should get in contact with the artist, and get a dr. appt

yes
the tattoo carves into your skin, taking away a layer...as your skin grows back, the tattoo sheds and heals, it'll all brighten up in a couple weeks. just keep it clean and moisturized. it's all normal.

Hard to say. Are you applying Neosporin and Cocoa Butter everyday? You should.
