What do these things do that make them so popular???

I did drugs - mushrooms and weed. But my life was hell. I did it when my life started to spiral - it was my release. drugs made me not think about anything - made life better... thought i experienced and saw things in life more clearer. but it also made me sink into depression... andi missed out on alot with my family, including being there for my dad and saying goodbye to him before he passed.
there is nothing special about drugs except for the fact that it warps your senses and makes life seem calmer.. relaxed... the reason why they are popular is because they are addicting... its hard for people to get off of it... when they have kids, sometimes there kids pick it up and it just passes on... Popular is the wrong word...

Drugs contain chemicals that can quicken heart rate, make you see hallucinations and make you experience other such side effects. People turn to drugs when they are unfulfilled or they want to have fun. In any case, it is very easy to achieve drug dependency and no one wants to feel stupid for doing something that damages their own bodies. This causes people to pressure others into doing drugs as well.

When one starts smoking it becomes a very hard addiction to quit, as for drugs, I can only guess happiness is involved in that department.

I know someone who did drugs and doesn't anymore. Now, when he is in pain. there is nothing that he can take to stop the pain because the drugs he did caused him brain damage. So he suffers whenever he is in pain. There's nothing he can take to stop it.

drugs will change the chemistry in your brain, and keeps you wanting more and more. This feeling is a lie, It seems good at first, but it will destroy you.

as long as they do it for a recreational purpose and don't hurt any one who cares
