It is absolutely normal for young people to be attracted to each other. It is also completely normal for parents to discourage relationships of their young folk because they really know where it most likely will lead and they don't want that for you. If your Mom tells you you are too young, it's because she knows there is a lot more neat things you need to experience and learn so you can be an intelligent contributor to a very meaning full relationship. You can be down on your Mom like she's some kind of dictator, but ultimately she is looking out for your best interests. I know it's hard, and you're going to do what ever you want, but for the time being consider this: You've known your Mom all your life right, why not give her the benefit of the doubt and respect her views on this. You will only be better for it.

Well i'm definatly in the same situation here. My dad doesn't think i'm old enough to be dating yet. Which I don't want to disobey him, but i do date guys all the time. I've dated since i was in the 3rd grade. And i'm 15 now, but i go out with my neighbor and my mom and dad are now starting to realize that i am old enough. When they wouldn't let me talk to him i was all sad and they realized that i really needed him. Just remember don't ruin your relationships with your family over boys. I t ain't worth it unless u know for sure that u r in love. Which if u are too young and you know it like your under 18 more than likelly u ain't in love yet.

how old are you? If you're 10 years old, that's a little too young. But if you're around 15 or 16, then you can start getting the experiencing of having a boyfriend.

Personally, If I was in your situation I would listen to my mom because since you are "young" and everything and the boy may be a little older I would take her advice. And since the boy is older than you he might wanna do certain things that a older man might wanna do. So to keep yourself out of trouble find a man your own age.
