I love to eat, which is why I'm always worried about my weight. :) And why did you ask this question so I would see it around suppertime, huh?

I guess my top favourites would have to be Indian (mmm, the #4 curry plate is calling to me - I miss you, oh curry place right around the corner...sob...), Mexican (salsa, oh salsa...posole stew, ooh yeah, yes Mrs. Medina, I will take some more, gracias!), and "Mediterranean" food (I could go for a falafel and some schwarma, you bet I could...or, yeah, ok, I think I will take that gyro with the weird cucumber stuff...), but I'd also go for Korean if I can get it (been years since I could), Thai is also awesome (I miss you too, little Thai diner!). Vietnamese noodles...mmmm......and non, Bubba, je n'ai oublié your hot little Cajun numbers...even those funny looking crawfish are looking pretty good...

As you can tell I love spicy stuff. All kinds of spicy stuff. Hot peppers of all types are staples in my kitchen.

I'm not so hot on a lot of the mainstream ethnic stuff, "Chinese," "Italian," etcetera, mainly because the dishes served at restaurants or even by folks in their homes have been "americanized," or as I like to call it, "substituted, reconstituted, and convoluted into ketchup-coated slavery." Sugar and fats dumped in instead of flavour. Disgusting. Having eaten real Italian food, I can't stand the stuff served here now. I have tried and tried at home to duplicate some of the stuff I ate in Italy, but #1 our cheeses aren't strong enough, to get the right strength there's too much cheese and so both the texture and the fat content are wrong, and #2 some of the fresh veggies I just can't find the right varieties here, substitution creates issues with some things.

I will say things are starting to get a little better as Americans become more taste-conscious, but it's a long slow journey.

I've been hooked lately on tapas and paella, my sister brought a cookbook back with her from Spain and if we could get some good ingredients...

Anyway, now I'm really hungry so I've got to go see what I can come up with, probably just some poblano soup or whatever's left there in ye olde frigidaire, and while I'm eating it I'll be dreaming of something wonderful like a curry platter #4....yes, I'd like a kebab too...

Definitely the traditional Mandarin (Chinese) cuisine, it has low calories compares to Italian and French cuisines. The best part is that you'll never get tired of enjoying the Mandarin cuisine.

Filet mignon aux Oignons & Pâté de Lapin, these are my two favorite French entrées. They taste wonderful and they are the one of the typical entrées for a romatic dinner in French restaurant.

French dinning is perfect for a romatic couple who is out on a date or anniversary of a wedded couple because they have dim lights and chamber or violin musics. Chinese restaurant is perfect for a family setting or a casual dining.

Well, I haven't ate anything French..so I guess that one is out..
They put alot of MSG or whatever in the food at Chinese restaurants so, that one is out too. (Still good tho (:)
Italian is great too. But, stuff like lasagna and spaghetti fill you up really quick and then leave you hungry soon after you eat it.
Soooo..in conclusion...Mexican (:
Spicy and yummy

Chinese, from any region. Unless I'm cooking, a good Chinese meal totally wrecks a kitchen. Whether you eat meat, pork, seafood, chicken or veggies, if you can't find something you like in a good Chinese buffet you just don't like food. I like all of it.

my favorite food is chinese simply because you could eat chinese food 7 days a week for a month or two and still never have tasted all the different foods.
my favorite way to eat chinese is to order a pint, a pint, a pint and another pint and share with the family.
chicken, duck, fish, shrimp, steak, beef, pork, tofu, ribs, noodles, rice, soups, snacks..the list is endless.
delicious!!
