Yes

It just takes milliamps across the heart to be fatal.

Under the right conditions (low resisitance), a 9V battery could kill you, it does not high voltage.

In answer, if the voltage can produce high current ( more than 10 miliamps) directly accross the heart, yes it can kill.

There is one thing no one has taken into account. The natural resistance of the body, about 100 000 ohms on a dry day. Think of the voltage as the pressure and the current as flow ( in terms of a garden hose). 60 v may have enough push to over come the bodys resistance but a 9v may only kill if applied to the heart during open heart surgury. But 120 v would deffinately kill if appied accross the heart, say, hand to hand. Other things have to be considered but we don't need too much detail. you only need 1/100th of an amp to stop the heart or at least throw it out of rythem.

The answers regarding heart effects are right on. But, often overlooked, is the ability of high current systems to create explosive situations. Certainly injury is possible. Don't know of recorded deaths, but if you doubt that low voltage and high current are not dangerous, drop a screwdriver across a car battery. Wear protective clothes. Don't let it "weld" in place or the battery may explode throwing acid all over. You won't get electrocuted but it is a good second place.

Voltage = Connection / Link
Amps = Strength

I would imagine so. We got told at Uni that it's not the voltage that kills you, but the amps.....voltage is just painful, lol

Yes. It is not the voltage that frys you it is the ampres
less than .000000001 ampres across the heart can kill you
