I am 19 years old already and worried about the fact that I may be dating my own distant cousin and also the fact that I may be dating a person who was born a hermophodite or the fact that I may be dating a person who used to be a guy. I am a guy and straight. For those who say you won't be dating your own distant cousin, there is still a possibility since I do have a great amount of ancestry behind me. If I was to start dating, I might be dating my own 50th cousin without knowing it. Am I being paranoid when it comes to start dating?

If you were just scared of taking the first step into dating, I would say you need need to take your time and get used to the idea. These things will happen naturally when you are ready and when you meet the right person. However, I do not want you to take this the wrong way, but I think maybe you should seek some counseling about your phobia regarding dating a distant cousin. If we were all to worry about this possibility, then no one would ever date, get married or have children. Also, genetically speaking a person would not have any complications if they had a child with their 50th counsin because the gene pool would be so far removed at that point.
Mostly I think maybe you are just not ready to date and I will tell you that is okay because I did not even have a serious relationship until I was 23. There is no need to rush and you should just take your time with this.

okay. yes, you are being paranoid. I mean if u wanna go back to it (if you're christian) we're all related. Adam and Eve were the only two people to start with, remember. Its OK. 50th cousins? thats crazy. who cares? if you love them, as long as they're not your first cousin (which you would know) then they have less than 5% of the same DNA as u which is not even considered related cuz we all have some percentage of the same DNA.
most of the time u'll be able to tell if ur dating someone who use to be a guy. plus the percentage of people in the world who have changed genders is like .00005% so the chance that you'll meet someone like that is slim to none.
don't be so paranoid and just let urself fall in love. its wonderful
i'm 18, a female...have always been a female and pretty sure i'm not related to you. so tehres at least one girl out there who's pretty normal to date =)

you can start dating anytime you feel you are ready. i think you are over reacting about the 50th cousin thing. just go out and have fun, if it just so happeneds that its your 78th cousin once removed, then (this will sound a little rude but) get over it. there are more then just your cousins in the world.

yes ur thinking about the wrong stuff. Dateing is supossed to be fun and enjoyable. You shouldnt have to worry about all that. you would find out if that was the case anyway. just go after an attractive, outgoing girl.

okay. here we go. who cares? yeah, if they're you're 100th cousing or a guy/girl...who cares? you're only dating them. you might be a little more careful when you go to get married, but go out and have fun! Holy cow!
