In Matt. 12:43-45 and Luke 11:23-26 Jesus spoke of the person who gets free of an unclean spirit (accepts Christ), but then allows seven more unclean spirits to "move back in."
The apostle Paul says, "I die daily" 1 Cor. 15:31 to convey the state of constant commitment he has to maintain in order not to be overrun by the devil, "lest... I myself should become a castaway." 1 Cor. 9:27

Remember all sickness comes from the devil and you can be possessed by a flu bug (spirit) .
So the answer is yes.
Look at Peter when Jesus rebuked him and said to him get behind me Satan. WOW what a sting. (Matt 16:23)
With Christ Jesus there is always hope.

All that stuff in the bible about being possessed by demons etc. was really how they viewed folks who suffered from mental illnesses like schizophrenia etc. No one is possessed. That's silly. If you think this you probably have a mental disorder that can be controlled by medication.

No, because a demon cannot dwell where the Holy Spirit is. Demons writhed in pain just at the siight of Jesus! How much more so with Gods very spirit?

Yes it is possible. Yahoshua even mentions this in Scriptures. After He cast out demons, He advised the person that they needed to fill the space, or the demons would return.

I don't think so. The Holy Spirit is stronger than the evil spirits. If the demons see that we are inhabited by God's Holy Spirit, they will not even try to supplant it. The most it can do is try to tempt us away from the Holy Spirit, but it cannot overpower the Spirit itself.

Stay away from the horror flicks...you have nothing to worry about and nothing is going to posses someone just because Christ is with them.

Real Christian will never be possessed by Devil spirit.
Christian church attender will be possessed if satan wants to.
Read Eph.1-3, that is hte Christian security that God possessed them.
The Trune God possessed us from eternity to eternity.

actually statistically it is mostly religious people that get possessed
this makes me think it is self induced/delusional or a misdiagnosis
i have studied possessions and found nothing to suggest it is supernatural

No God does not share HIS place of residence with the enemy. A christian can be oppressed or depressed but not possessed.
