I have a long haired cat, and I think there are fleas in my apt, I keep getting bites on me which look like little pimples with infection inside, but my cat does not go outside at all and is on flea treatment. The thing is he is black and so I can't see any fleas. I feel something like crawling on me, but I see nothing at all and never have. Are these fleas or could it be somthing else.

Ahhh, the old flea problem.....I'd say your cat and your house has fleas, pretty badly as well. I had 6 indoor cats that had this problem. I found out that fleas were coming into my apartment from a stray cat that would lay on my door mat all day long. So, I went and bought a bottle of flea shampoo for cats, flea collars, a flea comb and a flea remedy that you place a few drops on the back of the cats neck, right below his head. I bathed all of my cats, combed them real well, put their collars on and did the drops on the backs of their necks. I then sprayed my whole apartment with Lysol spray, let it dry for a bit and vacuumed all of my rugs and furniture. It worked very well and I made sure the stray wasn't at my door mat any more. I have never had any problems with fleas again. It is a lot of work, but it is well worth it. I really hope that this advice helps you out and hope too that you can combat this nasty bug as well. Good luck!

Flea bites are EXTREMELY itchy....and usually there are clusters of bites. You would probably see them on yourself if not the cat.
I doubt that there are fleas there....
It could be several other things...like spiders, or even bedbugs (which have become a real problem in the last few years, especially for motels & people who stay in them often).

Put a thin piece of white cloth over your wand attachment for the vacuum....then take a good look at what you find. If you DO find insects, google fleas, bedbugs & anything else you can think of under "images" to find a match.

The easiest way to tell if you animal has fleas or not is to take a very fine comb, like a flea comb, and comb though the hair over the tail on the back or at the animals neck, or both. If you get any debrie, put it on a paper towel and add a few drops of water. If the color changes to brown or red, you have fleas. That would be the dried blood that fleas leave behind.

some cats basically rather want to rub issues, roll around that's their character. As previous stated, that is rather common to tell if an animal has fleas. in case you blow on their fur to area it a sprint right here and there, you will at as quickly as spot individual fleas scurrying around in there, if there are any. And the fleas go away small brown or dark pink droppings, which would be interior the fur and are additionally often left on any easy colored fabric the animal might lay down on.

Comb kitty briskly with a fine comb, and do this over a white cloth. If you see a lot of small black dots on the cloth, she may have fleas.
Then throw out the white cloth, because the black dots are flea droppings. Yukkk!

You need to get a flea comb from a pet supply store or where ever you buy your cat food. Follow the directions on the package, it will tell you how to use it and what to look for. Good luck. My cats got them and it sucked.

It sounds like fleas. Use blue dawn dishsoap, it works wonders. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse. It suffocates them and it's cheap. It has to be the original blue dawn dishsoap. For fleas in your house, use mothballs or flakes. They stink but you will never have a flea bite again.

Yes it is fleas. It doesn't matter if it goes outdoors or not, they can still get them. Ask your vet for some "Frontline". Itis the best remedy there is. You only have to apply it once a month.
