How did the Europeans and Americans start to colonized Asia?

Another revisionist history LOL. Americans did colonize the Philippines. When the Americans took over, the Philippines fought the war of independence against the Americans, and they lost.The Philippines is in Asia (South East Asia to be specific).

In order to get military troops in Indochina (Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia), the French told them that they would protect the Catholics who were being persecuted in the region at the time, as well as to protect the region from the expansion of Siam (modern Thailand). The Indochinese agreed to allow the French into the nation and the French betrayed them by using these troops to take over the region.

Offering to protect a nation (typically from religious persecution or enemy states) was a commonly employed tactic used to enter Asia by Europeans.

Great Britain did it to Malaysia, Brunei, Maldives, and Bhutan.
The Dutch (Netherlands) did this to take over the Dutch East Indies (modern Indonesia).

And, in response to America in Asia, America offered to help the Filipino people fight the Spanish, and refused to leave after they successfully ousted the Spanish from the region. (Spain entered the Philippines first with Magellan, who converted many Filipinos to Catholicism and became a close friend of the king of Cebu, Humabon. Eventually, he got caught in a war with another region and was killed. After this, Spain sent troops to conquer the region and they successfully conquered the Philippines)

Americans never colonized Asia. They did take over and rule the Spanish colony of the Phillipines but whether that should be included in "Asia" is questionable.

When they find that other countries were not so advance as they are and that they could plunder them for their own advantage. This came about under their guise for exploring the world and charting new territories. Look what they got back in return.
