I think it is the fuel filter, does anyone out there know where the filter is located, and how to change it, I think that the gas system is presureized and first needs to be depresureized, can anybody help, or have some other answers for the reason the van is stalling

Sounds like a bad PCV valve. Could be a number of things, fuel filter change out is also a good idea. That engine is about due for an overhaul if it has 100k miles on it. And it does.

That is how to PCV valve. pretty easy stuff. Could be the gaskets on any number of things, check them out. Stall at deceleration means that it is getting gas, or else you could not accelerate.
Could be bad back pressure from a clogged Catalytic Converter. Or air getting sucked in from the Head Gasket or Exhaust Manifold, Valve Springs or any other number of things. But the PCV or some electronic sensor is acting up on RPM.
See that's where I see alot of folks get the wrong impression, if the motor will Accelerate it is getting fuel, that is obvious, Fuel Filter could be changed, but 99.9% certain the it is getting fuel, so that is not what is making it stall.
The Fuel Pressure in the system is fine on cranking and at idle or you could never leave your driveway. So pump or whatever is working.
And don't worry to much about that pressurized thing, that is only when it is running, if the thing needed to remain pressurized when not running, which it should not be while working on it, then it would never start after you put fuel in it.
It is a 15 year old motor, it is getting tired, be ready to rebuild or replace it in the next 5 years.
I am going with PCV valve.

It's not your fuel filter. If it was, your van would idle but not go as you push on the accelerator as the engine needs MORE gas under acceleration.

Look around for a vacuum hose that may have come off near the engines intake system that's sucking air.

Try listenning for a high pitched sucking noise too.

I always replace everything on mine before it starts stalling out. Do you have a check engine light on? That may be a clue. Other than that check around intake manifolds for leaky gaskets & also check oxygen sensor. On a vehicle this old some of these little components go bad.

you probably either have a dirty throttle body and or a lazy IAC motor (idle air control) I assume the vehicle runs good off idle that would indicate to me that it is not a fuel problem if you had a vacuum leak you would have a high idle hope this helps
