Check with the guidance counselor at the university. You need to take the basic requirements like science, English, math and history. You will also take child devlopment courses and many other education courses.
It will be hard to work during the day at a daycare center and go to school full time. You could possibly see about working just afternoons in a day care center. This way you can get experience and go to school at the same time. If they cannot hire you without a degree see if you can work out some volunteering. That will help a lot. Check into headstart or other programs that offer care for low income families.
