Yeah, Ive been in your exact situation before. I was really good friends with a girl for a while. We hung out as friends for the longest time. Til she started to hang out with another guy, she would talk about how she likes him and how she wants to date him. Oh my god did that burn. Felt like my heart was on fire and about to explode. I told her that I have feeling for her and that I wanted to date her. She told me that I am her best friend and that we cannot date because of the fear that a relationship may screw up our friendship. But what she did not relize was that by us not dating ended up destroying our friendship just for the fact that I just cannot change how I feel and just be her friend while she dates someone else. So think of your friend dating someone else, how would you feel about that. If you feel you cannot move on being just her friend, talk to her about that. If she does'nt want lose you then she should take you. Good Luck!

Yeah, shes making excuses for being afraid of the situation. Strong relationships often start out as friends, and she knows this. Next time you are hanging out, start being more playful with her, and start touching her more. On her lower back, on her shoulder, grab her hand and do something with it, just start touching her. She likes you already and you know this. Tease her and try to get her to wrestle or get her in a joking mood. Then tell her you want to give her a kiss, if she pauses, then just do it. She already likes you, you need to let her know that you want more than friends also.

It sounds like you should do it sooner than later, but do it. Never let an opportunity pass by.

It's true, you should never date your best friend and in fact it is a rule. After you break up the friendship is never the same, if at all. Stay friends.

I've never heard that rule before, and yeah I'm a girl. Anyway, rules were made to be broken. Maybe she's embarrassed or something or she doesn't know you like her.

things rarely work out with friends. If you want to give it a try go for it. Surprise her. Tell her how you feel, especially if you like her, cause she likes you, so dont fear rejection. If both of you want to give it a shot, go for it.

To be honest, its best just to stay friends. If it doesn't work out, its hard to go back just to friends. Either way good luck

that is a BIG rule.
Mostly because if you date your best friend it can end up ruining the friendship if it doesn't work.
