Ok so i was wondering I want to lose around 6-11 lbs. Right now I'm 5'5 and 116 lbs. I want to be anywhere from 105-110. Right now i'm running for 30 minutes a day, doing squats, sit ups, and leg lifts, and then of course walking some. I eat healthy i am now cutting off all candy, because i decided to go on lent with some friends even though i'm not catholic. Ok so do you guys have any suggestions on how to lose that much weight? and how long do you think it will take me if i do it the healthy way? thanks tons!

Try southbeach diet it really works. Just try eating only meat and veggies for a week. You'll lose at least 5lbs. Try it it works it's hard for the first two days to get that sugar out of your system but after that it's smooth sailing and you lose it quick.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

After reading this question, I have to wonder why you wanna lose weight if you're already under weight for your height.

To answer your question, if you wanna "lose weight" you're not gonna do it by doing squats and left-lifts. With those exercises, you'll gain weight because muscle is extremely dense and your legs are the largest muscles in your body. So, if you wanna GAIN weight, work on your legs.

Personally, it sounds to me like you might think your legs are too big and you want a flatter stomach so you're trying to "burn away the fat". Don't worry, a lot of women think this because they see these unhealthy, airbrushed super models that look like skeletons with skin streched over them in magizines and on TV. Well, at 5'5" & 116 lbs, I can guarantee you don't have much fat to burn. If you did succeed at burning away your fat, you might lose 2 or 3 pounds.

I would recommend that you actually at least try to maintain your current weight (if not try to put on about 5 pounds of muscle). Don't worry, you won't look like a man. I know that's probably not what you wanna hear, but that's what I think would be your healthiest move.

Bottom Line:

I really get concerned when smaller women think they're "over weight" because they have built up some muscle and weigh over 110 lbs. Heavy doesn't always mean fat and unhealthy. Muscle is ten times more dense than fat. So, as you're burning fat and gaining muscle, you'll continue to gain weight but it's GOOD; not bad!!!

I have a friend who's your same height and her target weight is 120 to 125 lbs with about that 7% body fat. (At 5'5" that's NOT a lot of fat. Trust me!!!) She's probably one of the healthiest people I know. If you would like, I'll see about hooking you guys up.

I hope this helps!!! Good luck to you!!!

The only way you can do it right now is to burn mussel and dehydrate, neither of which are safe, healthy or advisable.
You need to eat a good low calorie complex carb diet and exercise at a rate to lose about 2 pounds or a little more each week.

You sound like you are in perfect shape to me. Sit back, relax and appreciate yourself. I know that sounds cheesy, but as long you are working out and dieting in a HEALTHY way, there is nothing else you can do. Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that maybe your body just doesn't want to be any smaller. Learn to love it!
