go to the library, the park , have a picnic, go for a walk, ride bikes, go swimming (in the summer).

Check your local paper. I know in mine they are always advertising free things to do in town. This weekend we have the empire state games. Tonight was opening ceremonies (from 6:30 till 8pm) free food and fun for the entire family. The fun continues tomorrow night at the local beach with a party then fireworks.

The weather here's been unseasonably warm, (#$!^&^% 81 degrees in FEBRUARY???) so we took our little one down to the park with some water and a snack, did the swings, had a little picnic, it was nice. We had the place to ourselves, though, I guess folks don't go to the park anymore.

Some larger towns have playgroups and such that are free, but we live in the deep piney woods so no such luck here.
