Ok my 16th birthday is coming up in a month and i really want a car. i know not everyone gets a car at 16 but i think i really deserve it. i get straight A's in school maybe a few B's. my parents only make 20,000 a year but i dont ask for much. i dont shop at all the "rich stores" (ex, hollister, abercrombie ect.) or own designer stuff the most expensive thing i have is my nike shox.
well my question is that do you know a good used car company or a new car that doesn't cost too much? thanks to all for answering!

well, just go looking around the used car lots, im sure u'll find something for around 5k. thats what my sister did and ill be doing that soon too.

you sound like a well rounded young lady, good for you. Im sick of those spoiled idiots on that MTV show which I refuse to name. What I suggest is search the Yellow pages for used car dealers, you can specifically ask for cars within a price range. OR go to Yahoo Auto's it will take you to Autotrader.com they has some nice cars under 2 grand Hope you enjoy your birthday!
DONT GET A CAR LOAN!!! you are way too young for that and the car will be worth nothing by the time you pay it off, go for a reasonable used car it wont hurt the pocket as much but you will have to get a job to gas and insure it, 20K us not alot of money.

Together your parents make $20,000 a year? So $10,000 a piece? My suggestion is to get a job and make payments to your parents for signing the loan (insurance and monthly bill). A car isn't cheap honey, even used. If they make that little, chances are they won't be able to get a loan. Maybe a family member will die soon and leave you one in their will!
