We live 6.5 hours apart and need to wait about 4 years to marry. Anyone "been there, done that?" --successfully?

long distance relationships are hard, and sorry to say it but most of them don't work out.
You might try writing a letter and sending a photo with it, seems old fashioned but it means alot to someone who can't be near you and it is a nice surprise.
Try a surprise visit if you can. Try and stay in touch as much as possible, talk about your day, what you have done, friends etc like you would if you we living closer together.
