This one guy is really confident and talks to everyone but me, when he looks at me it's like he's afraid of me. He smiles and glances at me a lot, seems to want to hear anything I have to say, stands near me, etc. And yet he never talks to me, when I try to talk to him, he seems really nervous. I mean, if I ask him out, wouldn't that make it worse?
Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

If you are at a higher position than he is or hold a higher power over him, that may be a case. If not, then he may have a crush on you. A shy guy with a crush on you. What I think you should do is talk to him more, and try to ignore the fact that he's nervous. He'll get used to it, and you'll then see his true colors if he's interested in you or not. Well, I can barely see your face, but you look like a very attractive girl there. So really, it's from his self-esteem and confidence, maybe if you warm up and make him comfortable he'll accept you a bit better, whatever works for you

Confident men are not intimidated by anyone. Yes, you are a pretty woman but no woman is so gorgeous that I would ever feel afraid to talk to her. If you're interested in this guy........go talk to him!

Try telling him how 'great he is' and that you are feeling very 'shy' but you would really like to ask him out ... that won't 'make it worse' but things could surely get a LOT better!

Not intimidated by you, but he might be attracted to you and get self conscious, and think he's gonna goof up whenever he talks to you. It's the worst thing to embarass yourself in front of a pretty girl.

Ask him out and if he still behaves in an inhibited and weird manner move on. It may be that you just have to break the ice.
