Why do you think we fall for the guys who arent worth it? Ive fallen for a guy, who I have a million and one reasons to hate, but I dont. Everyone says he's using me, but I've fallen for him to the point where Im not sure if i care anymore...

because they give us a fasade: they are the romantic, sweet, kind, gentle, great kisser, etc, etc... and as the time passes by the real them comes out, and it turns out they are jerks. oooooooooor. we would like to THINK that they are romantic, sweet, kind, gentle, great kissers, etc...... but in REALITY we don't really see that they are jerks.

I think that some girls do it for attention, and others do it because they are actually blind by ignorance and are to dumb to really know. I myself have had many unsuccessful relationships in which I was hurt by the guy. But in my defense, I really didn't know that I would end up hurt in any way when I got into the relationship. Perhaps it's something about jerks, like their experience with so many other girls and their good looks that are what make girls attracted to them. A lot of times, girls will try to see past all of the bad qualities a guy has in order to make their relationship work and that's when their most likely to get hurt. Just wait for the one you're looking for. If you're a great guy, then you'll be sure to find a great girl who won't be dumb enough to fall for the jerk.

From what I have read is that the answer depends on what the seeker is looking for. The studies seem to show that if ones intention is to find a life-long mate, that they are more likely to find somebody who will honor them and the relationship. On the other hand, if ones intention is to find a boyfriend/girlfriend (rather than a wife/husband) they are more likely to be attracted to a person who has attributes that offer strong energy in the short-term. As a man, I found that I did the same thing. When I wanted a girl friend, I was attracted to abusive women. When my thinking shifted towards family and a life commitment, I was attracted to a wonderful, big-hearted, self-respecting woman who is good to me and good to our relationship.

I can explain this. Girls.....teens through their 30's are mostly attracted to what I call the "bad boys" (you know, the type that treats you like crap, doesn't call when he says he will, etc.) I believe you women do this because A. it's good for your ego to show off your "hot guy" to all your GF's and B. the so-called "nice guys" are just plain boring!
When women reach their 40's and up, suddenly they find themselves alone and getting tired of the "bad boy's" BS. Suddenly the boring old "nice guys" start looking much better.......if they can find one? The smart women latch onto these guys much earlier in life!

I think it's because they create a false image of being tough and protective, I used to date a guy that was a total jerk, but I just couldn't end it, until one day he just dumped me. Only then did I see what my friends had told me all along.

As a guy I would suspect he has attributes that you like: body, looks, money, a nice car.
Which spoils them in dating and they can get away with being a jerk. There are nice guys out there....but admit you think they are boring.

I know right i just fall for that stupid guy.And now that i know more about him i sure hates him but you we are worth it 10000 times than them. They are just stupid you should forget about him or he will break your heart it already happen to me now and i don't want that to happen to you so be careful
