What's the latest...?

what is the latest ancestor that you still have? great grandma? and how old is that person? How far do you know your family like 8th cousin? I know only 2 of my 3rd cousin (same great grandparents). I have 8 great grandparents. Does that mean any of those decendants that are still alive is still called my cousin? That means I have thousands of cousins if we go back to my 100th cousins. I am really woried now, I might be dating one of my xth cousin.

My grandmother is 88. She will be 89 on April 27. Don't worry about dating one of your cousins.... You could have worse problems like the following guy... It's good for a laugh. Blessings to you.

I Am My Own Grandpa

Many, many years ago
When I was twenty three
I got married to a widow
Pretty as could be.

This widow had a grown up daughter
With flowing hair of red,
My father fell in love with her
And soon the two were wed.

This made my dad my son-in-law
And changed my very life.
Now my daughter was my mother,
For she was my father's wife.



To complicate the matters worse
Although it brought me joy,
I soon became the father
Of a bouncing baby boy.



My little baby then became
A brother-in-law to dad,
And so became my uncle,
Though it made me very sad.

For if he was my uncle,
Then that also made him brother
To the widow's grown up daughter,
Who of course was my step-mother.

Father's wife then had a son
Who kept them on the run,
And he became my grandson
For he was my daughter's son.



My wife is now my mother's mother
And it makes me blue.
Because although she is my wife,
She's now my grandma too.

If my wife is my grandmother,
Then I am her grandchild.
And every time I think of it
It simply drives me wild.

For now I have become
The strangest case you ever saw,
As the husband of my grandmother,
I am my own grandpa!

Latest are my parents. Earliest is a great aunt (95), who isn't really an ancestor, so I guess my parents are my earliest, too. I think I can only go as far out as a second cousin.

The latest I have is my great-aunt who is 86.
My husband's great-grandma is still alive at 92, and his grandparents are alive at 86 and 82.

in gods eyes your dating your brother. after the 3rd cousin it's not in the blood any more, so they say. by the way, my mom is a decedent from Danial Boone, my husband is also a descendant of Danial boons. i moved from Illinois to Alabama. my husband is from Alabama. small world.
