Any problems? Any good things you noticed? Also how about Canine Caviar? I got a sample and my dog won't touch it! I'm glad I didn't spend money on that one! She seems to like the Artemis, though. I was going to keep her on Nutro Ultra but after comparing ingredients, I think the Artemis is better.

She's a Yorkie. I'm weaning her onto adult food...

I feed mine Nutro Ultra and the vet is always very impressed when I tell them that... hmmm... I will look into Artemis, though.

Raw food diet is the best, but it's spendy. I have a friend who just went to a seminar on what's best for dogs to eat. Whatever has the most actual meat will be better.

I don't think it is a big deal. I usually start a puppy on the puppy food at first because the kind I get has some kinda mothers milk formula in it. I mainly start them on that because it seems to help them take to dry food easier. Vets seem to always reccommed the expensive stuff that they carry, so I wouldn't rely too much on that. If the puppy is eating the food okay and doesn't seem weak or ill then it should be fine. Anywhere's between weeks 8-10 I start mixing the puppy food with adult food and try to have them on adult food by 12 weeks, and I've never had any unhealthy puppies.

I dunno what breed your dog is, but our bichon/spaniel mix loves Artemis. Nutro Ultra has a few more nutrients, but your dog gains more weight.
