In my computer's performance page i have

Processor - 3.4
Memory - 4.1
Graphics - 1.9
Gaming Graphics - 1.0
Primary Hard Disk - 3.8

I think the Graphics index score is what determines if i can use aero or not. What does that score have to be in order for me to use it?

Your graphic score is intended to reflect how a system will run Aero (desktop composition) and playback Windows Media Video. With a score of 1.9 it means that your system support DirectX 9 but does not have the wddm (window vista display driver model).
A gaming graphics score of 1.0 means that your graphic card doesn't support direct 3D 9. You'll need at least a score of 2 in order to run the aero interface effectively. A score of 3 or more is much better suited for aero. In another word you'll need to upgrade your video card.

the issue with aero is you need at least a gig of memory and a graphics card that has 128mb or better of memory. also you get Aero only under home premium and ultimate versions of vista
