The Farmers Almanac uses this trick for Cat urine which is much stronger:
In a 1 litre bottle mix half hydrogen peroxide half water with about 1 tea spoon of dish soap. It worked in my car. I had left my window open one night a the neighbor's cat just decided to make it is own! lol
Good luck!

I have recently discovered a product called Nature's Miracle - works great for dog and cat odors, but make sure you get the dog kind and not the cat kind.

the only way is to steam clean your carpet, or get rid of it and buy new carpet, any type of urine in carpet is hard to get rid of. I have 5 dogs, I should know.

There are deodorizers at pet stores that get rid of the smell so that even dogs can't detect it.
