"dea" is Latin for "a goddess" which might suggest a lesbian relationship if it weren't for the fact that you say HE is your friend. And your friend (presumably a different one) tells you to let go of HIM.

who cares what ur friends think? i had this same problem..just dont change after you guys start going out and ur friends wont have a problem...maybe theyll see after a while what u see in him and they will like him(like mine did) plus..they should be supportive whether they hate him or not!
