I would just leave it at first wait til the play's finished. Finding out you like him would make him uncomfortable and maybe drive him away.Let your friendship grow during the play it might bring you together if that fails tell him after the plays finished at least he will be more familiar with you.

Tell him at the cast party. Not sooner and not later, unless something changes, or he steers the conversation that way himself, or something like that.

i think that you should tell him, if he likes you back then things won't be awkward, they'll be better, guys like girls who take risks so if you tell him then things may work out in your favor, good luck, and break a leg in your play.

dont tell him until its over.it will get very awkward if he doesnt feel the same way.
