How long will it take for my refund to show up in my account?
I assume that asking for a direct deposit will be faster, right?

Normally, yes. Usually about 2 to 4 weeks for a mail-in with direct deposit.

Direct deposit will be about 10 days or so faster than having a check mailed to you, but will still probably take 3-5 weeks to get.

You should have your refund within 3 weeks of the date they receive your mailed return, even with the efile program the IRS still receives 1000's of paper returns each day, they can only process one return at a time.
