I don't think it would go over well if you told her not to have any male friends. Maybe you could try making them your friends as well and hanging out as a group_ that way you can make ties or just know what the relationship is like and it'd make you feel better about it.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are asking but I would say never. If you really plan of having a relationship with a female you need to understand that you have no control over who she chooses to have as friends. You do not have to like her friends but they are her's to chose. You and your friend seem to have a misconception about a level of control in a relationship, time to change the way you perceive your roles.
