Isn't it possible that when we are dating, we are actually dating our 8th cousin 5th removed? or something? since there is like a big a chance of dating one of your own ancestors? how do i prevent that? Is still like a dna test that will test that is like xth cousin and xth removed? I don't want to date my own current descendants.

Your 8th cousin would mean that you shared an 8 times great-grandmother. Then, you would have to be 5 generations away from them on the family tree. Basically, you would be dating someone in coffin (a generation is figured at about 20 years). Don't waste your time worrying about it.

If you haven't met them at your last family reunion, then I'd say its safe to date them!
And, they wouldn't be your descendants, unless you are much too old to be asking this question.
There are how many billions of people in the world? I think you are relatively safe. Besides, I think it is third cousins at which you are safe. Sure, cousins and second cousins would be weird... but if the person is so far removed that your own family cannot trace the connection, there is a very good chance that you will not have deformed children.

You would proably know if you had relatives in your town, don't worry about it the chances of that happening are slim to none.
