You can't DATE your own current descendants!! Your descendants are your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc and if your are dating any of them, then you are a sicko!! Here's a poem of a guy with real problems!
I Am My Own Grandpa
Many, many years ago
When I was twenty three
I got married to a widow
Pretty as could be.
This widow had a grown up daughter
With flowing hair of red,
My father fell in love with her
And soon the two were wed.
This made my dad my son-in-law
And changed my very life.
Now my daughter was my mother,
For she was my father's wife.
To complicate the matters worse
Although it brought me joy,
I soon became the father
Of a bouncing baby boy.
My little baby then became
A brother-in-law to dad,
And so became my uncle,
Though it made me very sad.
For if he was my uncle,
Then that also made him brother
To the widow's grown up daughter,
Who of course was my step-mother.
Father's wife then had a son
Who kept them on the run,
And he became my grandson
For he was my daughter's son.
My wife is now my mother's mother
And it makes me blue.
Because although she is my wife,
She's now my grandma too.
If my wife is my grandmother,
Then I am her grandchild.
And every time I think of it
It simply drives me wild.
For now I have become
The strangest case you ever saw,
As the husband of my grandmother,
I am my own grandpa!

No.. dna testing will not show what you expect. It is way way more complex than necessary to go into, just "no".
Many people in the 1800s did marry cousins, even 1st cousins or 2nd cousins. Today by some laws, close marriages like that are legally prohibited. For the most part, this is a social judgement or limitation. Their kids didn't come out with 3 arms or anything like that.
I run into people who learn they have a common ancestor 7 generations back. It is a matter of curiousity, nothing more. Not incest. To eliminate anyone even possibly related to you, you would have to have (1) your complete genealogy way way back and (2) the other persons same. Bit of overkill, maybe?
Lastly... your descendents are YOUR CHILDREN/ GRANDCHILDREN. Gonna take a wild guess here, and say that you don't have any of those to worry about.

Simple answer; date people of other races and/or nationalities. This isn't 100 percent foolproof due to things like slavery, but it's a better shot than dating someone with a name thats anywhere in your family tree. BTW, an 8th cousin would be a cousin from your grandparents 8 generations back.
1st grandparents
2nd gg
3rd ggg

well, since we all derive from the same decedands I would say that somewhere you are going to find that the person you are currently dating is related to you through Adam and Eve and then when the world was destroyed (remember the story of Noah and his Ark?) well he and his wife had to repopulate the world. Get it. Everyone is related, just don't sleep with your 1st, 2nd, 3rd cousins, as well as any other immediate familiy member's because that is not legal for marriage and your kids will have problems, they'll turn out republican. Word of advice, if they can be linked immediatly to your family, just walk away.

The reverend clarified that for us in catechism, you can marry your 4th cousin. Great-grandfather, 2 sons (one my grandfather),
,my father, {grandfathers brother, BOB--BOB has a son}
My father & BOB's son(AL) are first cousins, My Dad has me. I am AL's 2nd cousin. I am Al's son's 3rd cousin. My daughter is 4th cousin to AL's son. THERE!
