Cats should not be given milk. They lack an enzyme in their digestive tract that makes it nearly impossible for them to digest it.

Definitely NOT !
Cats need only water, but occasionally a small amount of milk DILUTED with water's okay.
To get her back on water, each day use less milk with more water until it's just plain water. That way when you do offer diluted milk, it'll be a treat.
Get yourself a book on cats and you'll find out what a cat's digestive system can and can't take.

I have given my 5 month old kitten the odd bit of 'normal' (i.e. cow) milk and it doesn't appear to have had any ill effects but this is my first kitten so i can't say wether it will make any problems later on. When i found out that cats shouldn't drink cow milk i started giving my kitten specialist cat milk (manufacturers like whiskers and felix make this) which is fine for cats. Although saying that, i don't think you should give your cat this ALL the time, only as a treat and always mkae sure there is plenty of fresh water available :)

Well think of it this way: Cookies are meant to be dunked in milk, right? Well, you are NOT dunking this here cookie in milk. But, seriously, milk is high in fat. You should at least give your cookie fat free milk, or even canned milk for cats from the pet store.

I won't continue that, but if your cat loves milk so much you can buy special cat milk at the pet store. My vet said they're safe for cats, just don't give her too much.
