From my point of view that would be "I" "i" because that would be meaning I am smart. But the "Y' could be the answer because the "y" would be asking a question, kind of in the sense of WHY? Could possibly be Q though also, because the Q stands for a Question, which once asked gives you an answer.

R-because it will complete the word sma(r)test which it is,
with out the (R) none of the letters would be smart.
