I hear ya!! I can't wait 'til the heating bills come down, Christmas is paid for, and the day comes that I actually have an extra 20 bucks to take my kids to McDonald's!!

The miracle is, everyone is healthy, we have dinner on the table and heat in our home. I'm not always sure how we make it to next week, but we always do. I thank God everyday for what we have and remind myself often of the people who would give anything to live the way we do.

Yes I am in your boat but I only work part-time and raise 3 children on my own. I pay my rent weekly, my elec weekly, my phone weekly, food weekly, buy in bulk for meat at wholesale butchers, have a budget for pocket money for myself and the kids, pay school fees, always have laybys on for clothing for kids and school, pay for sport for 2 kids and dancing/swimming for the other. I write down what I have to spend every week and it is always tight to spread the dollar. My answer is life is a struggle the rich get richer, the poor getting poorer. I take one week at a time. If I am head with a few bills I might lash out and buy something nice say take away or hire a dvd. That is a luxury for me. Getting a raise is not worth the point because everything in the outside world only goes up and your never further ahead.

Yes, unfortunately that is the way life is heading these days, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Living expenses go up while pay does not reflect the changes. I think this will always be the case :o/ Education is the only way to improve living circumstances, which also costs money and puts you in debt, gotta love it

Oh believe me. It is not just you. What we do is we look in the paper for any free festivals or art shows or anything like that, that is going on in our area. We can always find something free to do. You work, you pay your bills and then you have fun with nothing. It is the funnest part of the equation to me. We like to see how cheaply we can do things.

i think the majority of us here are in the same boat as you are. things get pretty rough at times but as time goes on i hope things will get better for you. living paycheck to paycheck is all we know so we learn not to buy things that we want but to buy things that we only need. good luck.
