No.....both are considered to be relaxers of the central nervous system therefore it is not advisable. Have you tried melatonin? And, 2 xanax doesn't knock you out? wow, when I have a panic attack and take one(25mg) it makes me pretty sleepy! But I know even with herbs you're not suppose to take them with xanax, my psych said so. Any kind of med that suppresses your CNS should be avoided, and alcohol of course.

No, do not take valerian with Xanax. Just because it is labeled as a "vitamin for healthy sleep and relaxation" does not mean that it can be mixed with other prescription medications. Actually, it probably says that somewhere on the label, in itsy bitsy print that requires a magnifying glass. Valerian is not a vitamin however. It is an herb, used for medicinal purposes and not approved by the Federal Drug Administration.

the various different respondents have reported melatonin as a reliable thought in case you want to get to sleep. by using itself, it incredibly is wonderful. in spite of the undeniable fact that, my mom took a mix of valerian and melatonin, and had a close to-psychotic reaction that lasted for 8 hours. The dr theorized that the mixture brought on a sort of REM (dreaming sleep) adventure whilst she became nevertheless certainly unsleeping, ensuing in hallucinations and being thoroughly disconnected. She never had any comparable adventure formerly, and not in any respect back the two, so it became actual the melatonin/valerian mixture. i does no longer advise attempting them jointly!

You want to sleep good and sound? Ask your doc for Rozerem. It's not addictive and wheeeww....Just make sure you are prepaired to sleep like a rock for about 10 hours. and that you have about an hour to two to "wake up". I take it as needed, but I take Xanax everyday. Believe it when they say "after taking this medication, do not engage in any activity other than preparing for bed." They mean it.
