A quick test for MS is to get in a bathtub filled with hot water, frequently people who have MS will have their symptoms worsen
Good luck tomorrow

MS is very difficult to diagnose, in fact in a small percent of patients (I think its 15%) a MRI never diagnoses the disease. Instead the patient goes through 4 documented 'flare-ups" and basically gets their diagnosis by default.
If you would like please email me through yahoo answers, I am in the same boat, only I can't see a neurologist without insurance.,

I have been in this battle for 10 years and stil no diagnosis.

So yes, MS can be missed on an MRI. A spinal tap can be used, I hear that usually picks it up but there are still some people who don't even get diagnosed that way.

Another test is called "Evoked Potential" and I haven't had it, but from what I uderstand it involved hooking your body up to electrodoes to determine how long it takes for the signals from your brain to reach parts of your body. Definatly ask your neuro what other tests are available and get going on them. If I had the change I would jump at it, but I am uninsurable because of my "sick but no diagnosis" state.

Whatever you do, don't drop your insurance because it will be very hard and very expensive to get it again,

Good luck!

It is possible that MS wasn't caught on the MRI. It happened to a friend of mine. She was having symptoms and it took a while before she was diagnosed with MS. I have heard that MS can be difficult to diagnose.
