Christianity isn't a religion, that's what the Christians say. So then why are there so many Christians in the Religion and Spirituality section?

People don't have the be a Christian to be a Spiritual person
And people can be Christian and be Spiritual

See this is something you all don't understand
As long as someone can live their life in love and cause no harm to anyone they are living a spiritual life
That is Gods plan for us all

Now some people can be a Christian and not live a Spiritual life

Jesus came from God to show us all what Unconditional love is
And it is just that
Not having any conditions on anyone's LOVE

Love & Blessings

We didn't say we were not spiritual.

However, we must define out terms. The Latin definition of Religion is "turn back 180 degrees", or to turn back to what you were walking away from (ie God). So, in a way, Christianity does fit this definition. However, during the Jesus People movement of the 60s and 70s, the hippie converts bristled at the thought that the freedom they were experiencing had anything to do with formalized religion. For religious institutions would not allow them into their sanctuaries. As a result, if anyone said that so-and-so had "found religion" they would reply, "Hey man, I haven't found religion, I've found relationship." Which is also true.

I hope this clarifies the history of this terminology.

Because there is the section where the majority of questions about Christianity are asked. If we want to answer those questions, we have to go to the section where they are located.

And you are right that Christianity is not a religion, but rather a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Christianity is a religion.

religion (n)- a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny

"strong belief" = faith
"supernatural power that controls human destiny" = God

So yeah... Christianity is a religion. Anyone who disagrees must have a poor grasp of the English language.

When you say "Christians" do you mean, every single christian on this earth, or just opinion of a few. You are taking opinions of a group and judging the whole religion. Thats not quite right.

there are parts to different topics that cross over, but mostly its the way they are based on how they're understood from proof and pop culture standards, and theres also a spectrum of conceptual discussions to ones that are more complexly tied to real world political issues involving specific deeds.

It's where they expect everyone to find them. And if they want to spread their word or argue, there isn't a better place at Y!A than right here.

Christians have always been confused. It comes from leaders and books that are constantly perfectly and absolutely giving them God's law and words and then frequently changing them.
