I have a mild case of athsma, i basically get out of breath really fast (I got a puffer buy i rarely use it). Anyways i run about 1-2miles every day on my threadmil. By the time i am done, my lungs feel like its burning on fire when i exhale and my heart beats at a really fast rate.

Anyways if i push my self more and try to run even a longer distance, is it possible for me to die from it? If not what is the worse that can happen for pushing yourself when trying to run longer distances.

Considering a Greek ran approx. 26 miles to notify the Athenians that the Greeks had beaten the Persians in battle. After he delivered the news of victory, he collapsed and died. There is a foot race named in memory of that event called marathon.

NOrmally I'd say no... but since you have asthma you might want to ask your doctor if it's ok. You should never feel like your lungs are on fire after a run!!
