Hi, I'm travelling to Thailand in March 07 and would really like to visit the Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Pattaya. We will be staying in Bangkok and i'm trying to find the cheapest / safest way there...

Has anyone been to the zoo that stayed in bangkok, if so please share with me how you organised it?

Thanks sooooo much

Hi Amy, the cheapest way to Pattaya from Bangkok will be the bus. Cost you about 100baht plus a person only for the 2 hours bus ride.
Once in Pattaya, the travel agents there will have tour packages to the Sri Racha Tiger Zoo, so you can opt to take any package that suits you.

You can take the bus from the Eastern Bus Terminal in Ekkamai, Sukhumvit Road, near Ekkamai Skytrain Station.

The zoo has an office in Bangkok also. You may want to contact them if they have a program to bring you from Bangkok to Pattaya instead. Contact them at Tel: 662-9347841, 662- 9346259.

There is no need to worry about safety. These travel tips are safe.

Bangkok To Pattaya Bus

Easiest way if you are staying in Bangkok is to book a tour which will pick you up at the hotel and deposit you back.
Bus to Sri Rach is easy but to get from Sri Racha to the tiger zoo will be a bit more difficult and you are at the mercy of local Tuk Tuk drivers who will probably have no English. If you go via Pattaya it is quite a long way back toward Bangkok and will still involve a tour company. If staying in Pattaya at all it would be easier to arrange a tour there.
If the Tiger Zoo interests you it is likely that Kow Keow open zoo and Nong Nooch park would also be of interest in which case it would be far better to stay in Pattaya for a couple of days and organise tours from there rather than commute from Bangkok.
Pattaya also has Underwater World aquarium and Mini Siam for a slightly different excursion as well as it is worthwhile to at least travel walking street at night to see the excesses which some tourists think of as entertainment.
Have a good trip.

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand has both old-world attraction and modern convenience served up in a seemingly disorderly way, but always with a nice look, see more with Hotelbye . At 1,600 square kilometres and checking, Bangkok is major, and the numerous various places could be bewildering. In Bangkok you can visit the Grand Palace, among the must-see on this city. The Grand Palace was built in 1782 and for 150 years the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government. The Grand Palace of Bangkok is just a Grand old dame that continues to own guests in awe with its wonderful architecture and complicated aspect, every one of which really is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of Thai people.
