Dogs are pack animals. Somewhere in your dogs past there was a dominate dog that did not allow her to eat near the food source. She learned to take a bite and walk away. I suggest you take a small amount and feed her by hand near the bowl, bringing her closer and closer to the bowl gently. Praise her for each step. This may take a while as she has to relearn a skill that she has habituated.

If she has tags on her collar, make sure they don't hit the bowl when she puts her head over it. The noise can scare her. Try feeding her out of your hand, with your hand right over the bowl, so she gets used to eating over the bowl.

Depending on the personailty of the dog matters..

We have a small dog, she's petrified of everything! :s
We leave her food bowl behind the couch were she made her hideout...
She won't eat with the other dogs..
Maybe that's it? put her food bowl near her bed?

it might be because her dog dish it to deep..Try using a flat dish or a very shallow bowl. That should correct it.

its probably because it is to young and make sure they are in tiny pieces because they are now teething and they find it hard to eat big foods
