It all depends how well it was taken care of, I myself wouldn't buy a car with that many miles on it as it's just getting ripe for a lot of repairs, especially a cavalier.

Normally I'd say that the care it's received matters more than the miles. But the Cav was never known for its build quality or longevity -- it was consistently one of the worst rated cars by Consumer Reports.
It books out around $1,500 to $2,000 but personally I wouldn't pay that much unless it was in cherry condition with a full service history.

I wouldn't pay more than $500 for such a car,,and what work you would have to put into the car would depend on how the previous owners maintained the car.
Brakes,,,Front end joints,,shocks,,engine management sensors,belts and hoses,,the list could go on,,,,the word is<<<

my aunt has a cavalier...she has had it for years and as long as i have been around she never has had major problems with it...she does take very good care of it though so i would agree it would depend on the maitnence done it rather then the miles it has

The engine, transmission....these things are very expensive to replace and sometimes not even worth replacing.
