Hey! I'm a radio amateur operator! But have never used microwaves. Sounds more like an engineering question about microwave signal links. But the numbers do not make sense. A further 20km should not reduce path loss.

well Tx means transmitter. Rx receiver.
Are you saying 10km from tx to hill, and receiver 20km beyond that?
