I have this friend I used to work with. We've known eachother for years and I've had feelings for him for a VERY long time. We fight a lot... never really got along well... argue about stupid things. But, despite our problems, I've always found him to be really sweet and charming. I thought that, once we didn't work together anymore, we also wouldn't talk. But he won't let that happen. He still IMs me and comments on my pictures online saying I'm cute and such (he's a big flirt). We will go WEEKS without talking and I'll start to forget just how much I love him. But then we'll talk again and it all comes back. He was recently there for me when I really really needed someone and it made me realize that there is no one more perfect for me than him and I don't think I'll ever get over this... but there's a problem- he HAS A GIRLFRIEND (recent development) and has no idea that I feel this way about him... and I can't tell him. I just need to know how to get over him without cutting him out

honey i feel your pain. my BEST friend in the whole world (who will remain nameless) was the same way, although we didn't fight, but was/is the sweetest guy ever, always there in times of need and so forth, but he met a girl and i waited for a breakup but he ended up MARRYING HER!!!!! i thought i would never get over it but then i started dating other people, and i met a great guy who I've been with for two years and couldn't be happier. my friend has been married for like 3 years now but he's still just as flirty and leaves me comments like that too, and to be honest I still have to check myself from having feelings for him! my advice> try to date other people and keep your distance from him while still maintaining the friendship, it'll get better over time, it has for me!!!

well then maybe u dont get over him...tell him how u really feel. If he still doesnt wanna go out with u instead of that other girl then hes not worth it...move on and find some one else.

Being in love and ruining your life? Being in love is suppose to be a happy and cheerful time. If you don't feel that way, walk away and don't look back. Life is too short its only one life on earth. Why be unhappy over something you can change?

He doesn't sound like a guy that has a lot of consistency, but if you love him then I'd say go for it!
