I have the tactical version (threaded barrel). I want to make it look cool. Does it even make sense to do this? How much would it cost?

Yes, it is one of the readily available accessories, and a very good pistol.

Check your local gun dealer if they have USP factory compensator or maybe even an aftermarket compensator.

I doubt that "making it look cool" is the best thing, but it does significantly reduce felt recoil and muzzle climb.

Yes, you can there are different ways to do it. One way to do it is contact a gun smith and have them make and in stall one. The other way which is what I did was to buy a replacement barrel that adds 1/2" and install a duel action spring for my H&K. Barrels run about $150.00+. If you want to change your barrel add an extenson or put on a threaded barrel this is the company I used. EFKFireDragon.com they were quite helpful.
