This is actually very common. I dealt with the same thing. What I did was talked to him. Tell him how you feel and that you dont think its going to work anymore. If he doesnt accept this, then leave the scene. Dont avoid his first call. Tell him you can still be friends even if you dont want to be his friend.

Be totally honest with him. Instead of saying "I cant stand you", be a tad nicer though. Just tell him you dont see it working out between the 2 of you in a romantic way. If he cant accept that, tough.....just shows that he is immature as well.

just tell him the truth and he will understand,and maby the things about him that you dont like will change once you tell him the truth ,otherwise if he doent stop the things you dont like about him then just break up with him.

You have to be honest with him and tell him asp so you don't lead him on,,You could say "I don't know what happened but It just isn't working for me anymore"........
