Women are INCAPABLE of thinking about the future. They put things down when they are done with them, seemingly thinking, "I'll never need THIS again!". You'll notice, they can never find their keys, scissors, tweezers, or anything else that there is only one of in the house. I am damn serious. The only things that you can find when you need them are things that you have 8 of, like bowls or plates. If there's one of them, remotes, sets of keys, scissors, a top that matches a certain outfit they love, it has been left where ever they were when they finished using it last...
I have talked to my wife about this, and she knows it is true, but she is simply incapable of developing a habit that will cause her to never have to worry about where her keys are, for example. When she is in a panic, looking for her keys, I say, "What you need to do is ALWAYS PUT YOUR KEYS IN THE SAME DAMN PLACE, LIKE I DO. SEE??? HERE ARE MY KEYS! THIS IS WHERE THEY ALWAYS ARE." She says, "Are you going to help me look or not?"
My advice to you is to not let her touch the remote. I epoxied a a string to the remote and epoxied the string to a table beside the bed. So if she does manage to get her hands on it, I can grab the string that is epoxied to my night table and follow it to the remote.

LOL- funny question- I can't tell you how many times I lose the remote in bed and then when I get up in the morning- the tv is somehow off- and I will spend about 2 minutes looking for the remote. If I can't find it well then the tv will stay off! I'm not getting out of bed to turn the tv on or change the channel- lazy a** I am! LOL
