I think you are living in a box if you believe the only reason women shave their pubic hair is because that's what men prefer. Go to men's health and ask men why they shave their pubic hair. People shave their pubic hair because it's more sanitary, and because they feel better with less hair. It's the same reason why guys shave their faces, and why women shave their underarms. Women feel nasty if they have hairy underarms.

Oh my gosh this is absolutely great. I almost died when I saw that someone actually asked this question. You know what men don't shave and they expect us to go "down south" so honey as far as I am concerned the beaver is a hairy creature!!! Great question!!! Bring a hair pick with you. It's like Larry the Cable Guy says" If I was a girl I wouldn't shave I look like I was smuggling Chewbacca in my under shorts!!!"

I think it is an individual decision. However, some women do it for their partner and sometimes the partner likes to do the trimming.
