I have some pictures I would like to make everything but the main object (background) black. I have seen this done before and the photos turn out nice. How do I do it and what program can I use??? Thanks

Photoshop....Silhouette the figure you want to keep with the "Lasso" tool, Reverse the selection with the selection Menu and then "Fill" with the Black color at the bottom portion of your "Tool" bar by clicking on it and going to the "Fill" with foreground" selection menu.

You pretty much have to have Photoshop to it easily. If you do, use either the magic the wand or some other free-form selection tool to pick the one thing you want to keep. Then, right click and choose "invert selection". This will highlight everything you want to turn black. Then, just get out a mighty paint brush, and in a few strokes you have your picture. If all you have is MS paint, just take your sweet time with either the spray paint or paint brush tool.

You need some sort of digital editing software like Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks, that can usually be downloaded from the Internet. It's recommended, however, that you go out and buy the software first. It's also recommended that you use all the tutorials and watch all the avaliable videos.

All you have to do is use photoshop
Take the lasso tool and take cut out the object you wish to keep
then insert a new background (black) and your done

You may be able to do this with a free software called "the gimp" or "gimp".
I know you can definately do it with "paint shop pro" and "photoshop"
