we believe in god even though we have never seen him. we have never seen magic but we dont belive in that. or santa claus, we dont belive in santa claus because no one has ever seen him. Do people just belive in god because they have to? if they really believed in god they would be open to the possibility of magic. what do you think?

I believe in God, magic, and science. They aren't mutually exclusive and actually niche quite closely into one another.

I have never, even as a small child, believed in Santa. It never made sense to me. I do, however believe in God. I can't explain it; It's just what I believe. I didn't have to. It was a choice I made because God made sense to me.
Magic is magic. A trick. I never bought into that either. It's interesting, but a trick.

Now that is strange because I believe in magic and not God. Magic is real. Did you ever see an elephant disappear? Wow that is something. Do you think they dropped an entire Elephant through a trap door? I don't know how they did it but it was amazing.

God is magic! j.k.

Who knows, it can't be because there is a book about God, because there are tons of book about magic. But why stop at magic there is tons of stuff that people hear of or know of that is claimed doesn't exists, no ones seen either. Like dragons, fairies, ooo... what about your stuffed animals coming alive at night? or monsters in your closet...man I wish I was a kid again.

i might say this: a million). No, i don't have self assurance in magic. Magic is the manipulation of religious beings by utilising using talismans, incantations, or another such nonsense. God, angels, and demons are no longer concern to us, and we could desire to no longer anticipate them to be. by way of fact of this, on the Eucharist, we *ask* the Spirit to remodel the Bread and Wine. we've not have been given any potential to make Him. this is the considerable difference between faith interior the magical and magic. 2). Ghost busters became a superb action picture :). Do i think in ESP or psychics? In Christian doctrine (to apply the previous Greek words), guy became made with a skill, a dynamis, to be like God. we are, as a result, able to supernatural information. on the autumn, we became greater like the fallen angels, and so God close our religious eyes and exiled us from the backyard for our risk-free practices (that and who needs to stay continuously in this decrepit previous shell?). besides the incontrovertible fact that, I do have self assurance that countless issues can activate, or energize to apply the Greek notice, those potentials. whether those could be demons, God, or different men, that is accomplished. If, besides the incontrovertible fact that, that's finished by utilising something yet God, it is going to likely be risky whether it variety of feels constructive interior the quick run. So, with that, ESP and psychic interest are forbidden to a Christian. They satanize us or no longer less than enslave us to him. we are, rather, to alter into divinized in Christ, to be engodded. And if we pursue that direction, then we are able to discover, on celebration, that each physique is granted with presents of clairvoyance, prophecy, bi-area (being in 2 places at as quickly as), incredible expertise, mastery of climate, the skill to commune with animals, etc. St. John the Wonderworker of Shanghai and San Francisco is a very cutting-edge occasion of this (to which we could upload St. Herman of Alaska, St. Nektarios the Wonderworker, and so on.).

I believe in God and magic. When Moses threw down his staff and it turned into a snake by the power of God. Then, Pharaoh's people threw down their staff and it turned into a snake, too, but not by the power of God. It was by evil. So, you see, be careful of what entertains you.

I think that you're right. I've often wondered that myself. Those who believe in the bible have no problem believing in turning water into wine, or parting the Red Sea, but they condemn magic. Huh.

Lots of people on this forum claim to practice magic so I presume that they believe in it.
