So this old man spit on a womans face at the gas pumps. I tried to calm him down but he kept spitting so I grabbed him and bent him over my knee and started spanking him. I was laughing so hard I couldnt hold him anymore but he was so embarassed he left. What do you think of what I did?

I think that's awesome! Anyone who hits or spits on a woman deserves some kind of harsh treatment.
In a bus once I jabbed a guy in the nose with the handle end of my umbrella because he punched a woman holding a baby. Then he came after me with his fists flailing and I armlocked him and slammed his face into the handrail. It wasn't quite as funny as your story, but carries the same point.
Let's just say that if some 80-year-old guy spit on my wife, I'd want a piece of the man, but if somebody spanked him at the pump instead, I probably would find it funny enough that I wouldn't go pound him. So maybe you saved the woman's husband from assault and battery charges. Who knows?
