I was just wondering. I have been sick all week with a kidney infection. I am still on my antibiotics. My bday is this weekend and I wanted to know if it would be ok to have a drink with dinner when I go out. I just wanted to get some more opinions and feedback. I mean I want to get well, and I hated being sick so of course I don't want to do anything that will cause me more trouble than what it is worth. Ya know my health VS. one drink. Thanks again.

If it was a bladder infection I might say go for it if you really must and suffer the consequences. But you are talking about your kidneys which could become pretty serious. How about a nice limeade instead? Or maybe some sort of virgin carbonated cranberry drink? Even if you are feeling better by then I'd still consider it a no-no as secondary infections can be worse. Alcohol can interfere with antibiotics, too. If I thought I JUST HAD to have a drink, I'd only drink half the glass and follow with several glasses of water to dilute it. Sure hope you feel better soon and Happy Birthday!
