Sometimes I wonder why I've never had a boyfriend yet.
I'm really nice, people say I'm pretty, I'm smart, and never mean to people. I'm also sorta shy/reserved, so I've always thought that was the reason. But I see people even more shy than I am with boyfriends or girlfriends. Guys flirt with me sometimes, and are really nice..but that's usually about it..
I'm 15.5 and most people my age have had one before.
What should I do differently? and what should I do to not be so shy anymore?

Hey are we twins? lol. i always worry about never being kissed... ok except for when i was four but hey. i dont get the deal either, we're in the same boat. just act casual, the right one WILL come along!! I keep telling myself that.... its tru. i believe it!

Don't try to make things happen. I didn't date until I was in college. I had a lot of boys that liked me but I really didn't reciprocate at the time. I was not shy so much as reserved. I think it will happen for you when the time is right. Shyness is easy to deal with. Do something every day that you would normally not do. I mean answer a question at the front of the class. Talk to a person you normally wouldn't. Eventually, you'll find that it's easy and your shyness will be gone.

You are a nice girl and probably scare away most of the boys.
You need to get involved in some volunteer work,. after school with children's centre, old folks home, shelter or animal shelter.
You need to go out and build up some confidence and get to feel good about yourself, so that it will shine through.
Working with strangers really makes you open up and feel more comfortable around others.
This would be a great start for you to open up your wonderful inner self that is just waiting to burst forward.

You seriously remind me of myself! LoL. People tell me the same thing! and some guys do flirt and what not, but I NEVER make the first move. Its just not my thing. And most girls do, so thats probably why. But when that one guy actually has enough guts to come to you first, then that will be worth something! I'm 17 and I haven't had a b/f yet.. you tend to learn to be happy with it! Learn to be independent and love yourself! =]
btw: You shouldn't "do anything differently" just be yourself! Your school is probably full of shy guys just like mine =P

My daughter was the same as you- now she's 18 , in the university and there she has found love. So my advise to you is not to rush things- don't worry about it- LOVE will find you.

if you had a picture it would be easier to answer.....maybe you are too shy and don't give guys a reason....eye contact helps and the ability to communicate
