Your dog is probably bored. Does he have toys. do you walk him regularly, do you play with him....

Does he cry when he needs to go out? after he eats? when.. figure it out.. there is a reason.

Has he been to a vet? Maybe he's in pain. It's not normal for a dog to cry all the time. Please see a vet... it could be something that's getting worse over time and could cause serious problems or death. Better to catch it earlier than later. Hopefully the doc can cure it... or rule out pain as a reason... in which case... a behaviorist might be able to offer suggestions.

Aww, don't get his vocal chords cut, that's mean!!! How old is your dog? He's most likely just doing it for attention. Just ignore him, and let him cry. He'll soon learn that it gets him no where and stop! You could ask a dog trainer for advice too, but I strongly advise against the answer given regarding getting his chords cut. Don't take away his voice, he may really need it one day!

Dog's vocalize to communicate. You have to listen to the tone of the cry. Is it mournful, he's lonely. Strained, he may be in pain. Or he may hear something from outside that he is responding to. There is always a reason why the dog barks, yelps, whines or bays, listen to him and talk back to him. You may find something out.

I don't think I'll be useful so please (no thumbs down)

First of all, don't get him spoiled; he will think that whenever he cries you will obey his call.

Second, I have the same problem. My dog lives outside. I can hear him cry .. once he cries i go outside he stops .. I think maybe he misses me .. so try to figure out what calms him .. give him a treat or a toy he might shut up :)

Talk to a vet. You can get a surgery where they take out his vocal cords or cut them or something.
